He has a bigger impact than that, and we talk about everything from Thundarr the Barbarian to his thoughts on fanfiction in general, but the key focus is his upcoming The Most Dangerous Man in the world which will is a “lost tale” of sorts. It will tell a story meant for the animated show prior to the inclusion of Serpentor and Cobra-La

Nerdversity Comic Issue of the Week: Captain America – The Winter Soldier Directors Cut. (2014) Hot of the heels of The Winter Soldier movie, Ed Brubaker brings back issue 1 of vol 5 with new scenes. We see Red Skull’s assassination at the hands of The Winter Soldier, as well as Cap’s nightmares over The Bulge in 1944.
Steve Epting’s art matches perfectly with Ed Brubaker’s story, proving as to why many fans consider Brubaker’s run to be the best run of Cap ever.

G.I.Joe Future Noir is one of those obscure alternate takes that almost every property has, that many wouldn’t even know existed. Idw published the small manga sized black and white trade paper back in 2011.
it featured a young team of Joes who are sent on a mission by General Hawk. Duke commands a squad consisting of of Scarlet, Roadblock, Sci-fi (with an interesting twist) and a rookie by the name of Helix. Don’t worry, they met Snake-Eyes along the way.
The first thing you may notice is some of the unusual members on the roster. Sci-fi is no longer the laser trooper from the ARAH days, but instead is a cyborg who serves as pilot, and general computer/support for the team. His face bears a resemblance to Gambit, and his later body part switcheroo reminds me of 90’s era bad comic cyborgs. UPDATE: I initially didn’t see any ties to the classic Sci-Fi here, but Joe Nation’s Casey pointed out that Star Brigade Sci-Fi (v4) had bat like hand attachments and had been re-assigned to be a pilot.

What does this mean for the future of the brands? at least in comic form? I can’t speak to True Blood for certain, Doctor Who appears to be going strong on the small screen, but Joe appears to have no presence at toy fair, and Hasbro isn’t presenting anything at Joe con, we know of no design team for Joe, and recently one Joe comic ended (Costa’s Cobra Files)
Hama’s G.I.Joe a Real American Hero seems to be well loved by fans, infact it seems to have gained steam after early concerns over the return of the brain wave scanner, and accidental inclusion of the dead character Sneak Peek.
My not so educated Guess? G.I.Joe isn’t going anywhere, neither is Doctor Who, but the focus on them will be smaller, possibly going down to only 2 or less books a moth, and with less being produced IDW simply may not feel they need to have a dedicated app for them.

Check out Robert Downey Jr singing with Sting and killing it! So apparently this man is Tony Stark, a pretty good Sherlock Holmes, and has a killer voice. Hard to believe prior to Iron man his career was dead a door nail. -revsears
I was surprised to see there was zero delay between release of the final season of Futurama and it coming to Netflix. It’s been a long time fav of mine, and my wife is a bigger fan than me (and has the toys and stuffed animals to prove it!) So give it a watch if you haven’t yet. I’ll still be being her the Blu ray for the commentary, Futurama has always had some of the best commentary tracks.
I was also notified by the handy dandy remind me option at redbox that Man of Steel is now available. I’ve been a slacker and haven’t seen it yet, so if your like me you can get a viewing in now that it’s a buck and change for a night with the blu ray.
8-bit cinema has released an excellent mock video game adaption of the Thor movie using mostly 8 bit sprites, although some are 16 bit and seem to be based on Megaman X but I’ll forgive them. Check it out below, and you should definitely hit up their home page, subscribe and check out some of the other videos (like the Shining or G.I.Joe!)
