I Have a The Loyal Subjects BARONESS in Hand (pics and thoughts, with more to come)

First (brief) Look at The Loyal Subjects G.I.Joe Wave 2 Baroness! This is a fully colored Prototype, it is not a production final, so some changes could occur.

13262415_10207697864581891_1144445454_o  Here the Beauty is, and the first thing you will notice is that the glasses come off! As does her backpack, even though it would have been easy to mold on as you can’t see all the detail behind the hair. To me that makes extra awesome the time was taken to make sure you could remove it (somewhat flexi head as it is removable) and examine it, maybe even swap it with someone else!

13231133_10207697863181856_1724851621_nHer Gund looks like the original. Only the handle and trigger give it a way, and I look forward to doing some comparison shots when I get home. Now check out a different angle:

You can see her armor pieces are more silver, like sideshow.  Her cobras are not sculpted on, but are Tampo’d so well it works great and means more customizing potentially, (especially for the blue single pack version you can get online) I can already see a way  (with some dremeling) to make a Helix and more on top of my planned “Snow bunny”, Crimson Asp, Iron Grenadier and Classic comic versions. (Glad I pre ordered plenty of the blue ones)

14 points of articulation. It appears the right hand has a swivel but not the left, or mine might have been stuck. (1 of 3 I’m aware of, with the other 2 at TLS HQ and another the glasses were a bit tight, may be similar here.)

Her eyebrows are sculpted by the way, and she is frankly the most beautiful female Joe figure under 12″s I have seen.

Feel free to ask for specific shots or comparisons and I will do my best to do so when I get home from this training trip.

For those who do not like chases, Yes this baroness will be a chase, but a blue baroness will be available single carded right off the bat, and future baroness figs are coming too

For those who do love the chase, unlocking this super intelligent, helicopter flying, tactical European bad @$$ sniper will make your day.

I will update this post with more pics. But I know I will also be uploading HERE and I already have a bunch in that TLS Folder so feel free to take a look!

Pulling some TLS Blind Boxes, then talking about them.

If you haven’t figured it out by now, I’m a huge fan of The Loyal Subjects and TMNT is a a shared interest between me and my son. This time the little guy was in trouble, so I pulled and discussed two blind boxes by myself. Enjoy in the video below. If you dig what you see, keep reading below the video! Likes, comments, and  subscribes are appreciated.

I became a big fan of the TLS figures after checking one out when interviewing their CEO for the Nerdrahtio Podcast.  You can head straight to their store here to dig into their upcoming wave 2  or if you wish you could use my amazon affiliate link to grab some wave 1 boxes on Amazon view the link below. This is the first time I have put up an amazon affiliate link, and want you to know that yes, If a purchase is made I get a small “bird dog” fee that could add up, and help me pay for the site’s hosting, give away items etc.

The Loyal Subjects Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Series 1 Figure

Examining the NEWLY REVEALED Loyal Subjects toys (G.I.Joe, TMNT, MOTU, How to train your dragon)

blueboardNPART 1: The Loyal Subjects has become one of my favorite companies and that’s probably obvious by now! The latest batch of new images has me excited. The black Friday sale means an amazing Pre-Sale price, 40% off of these items that were just revealed, and most of them are must buy’s for me! Some of them I know I will have to get more than one of! Where do I start?  Brand by Brand, Pic by Pic, I wanted to provide some commentary on each image!

Glow in the Dark He-Man makes the silver become Glow in the Dark. The Power Sword will look great pointing towards the sky glowing in a dark room. It also features mini comic inspired Axe and Shield combo. This means you get to have your He-man how you want him ! Mine will probably go Sword and Board style, like a rpg tank.

Those eyes look like creepy as heck. I’m looking forward to seeing how well these translate into the paint masks used on the factory produced figures.  They really remind me of something from Zelda, like those pesky statues with an eye that shoot lasers at poor Link.

Joe Allard let us know that the plan is to go with Orange glow in the dark for this one. His design his awesome and I think a new GID color is a perfect way to spice this fig up! (although the green face would look good in traditional GID too.)

My fav out of the Masters of the Universe online exclusives (note: all single carded) would be:

Glow in the Dark Snake-eyes vs. V2 Stormshadow two pack review!

forimageLatest review is up! Check it out below and be sure to head over to youtube and like and subscribe if you enjoyed it.  This time we take a peek at Glow in the Dark Snake-Eyes and v2 Stormshadow by The Loyal Subjects. I should note this is their old body style and does not reflect how the new figures will be coming in November (14 points of articulation!)

TLS Snake-Eyes, 83 sticker style digibash.

stickersheetwithconceptsecloseup

(Slightly updated) Here is an image from a 1983 Sticker sheet which  fans have theorized contained an early or original design for Snake-Eyes. Further discussion has revealed slightly conflicting information in the Joe discussion group, it sounds like he was always intended to come in black but grey highlights may have been cut or may not have depending on who you ask. This black look was a nod to the S.A.S. and does appear to be have been planned. Thus despite fan theory (and one I believed until recently, and I even discussed with Gary Head on the old nerdversity 101 podcast) it appears this should more accurately be called “Sticker” Snake-Eyes instead of “concept” Snake-Eyes, especially if we use concept in the exact same way as we do with blowtorch, although broadly it could be called the sticker company’s concept for a design of SE, but it’s definitely not the original.

Those who stopped by the Declassified panel at Coil Con saw my copy of the sticker sheet (which has some other cool gems on it too)

Beneath is my recreation of the color scheme using Joe Allard’s designs for the The Loyal Subjects Snake-Eyes. I choose to keep the grey as the sticker had but toned it down. The ungloved hands are from the upcoming Dusty. Expect the real figures in November and check out the full gallery of them HERE.

And we recently did a full podcast interview with the designer Joe Allard you can listen to HERE.

I am not thrilled with the camo, but this was my first time doing it, learned a lot along the way and I think It will turn out better next time.

Let the TLS Crew know if you like it HERE  and Jonathan and crew already have my blessing to use it, they just need to make sure I can get one haha! I think it would go nicely with my concept art blowtorch (See HERE)

For comparison sake:

Still one more cool TLS related thing coming up in the next few days. Keep your eyes out and be sure to follow us on twitter/ and like on fb so you don’t miss out.
